Here are a few recent projects executed by the Bay group of companies
INEOS Nitriles Facility
The INEOS Nitriles facility located at Green Lake, Port Lavaca,
Texas, produces acrylonitrile and acetonitrile, chemicals used in the
production of acrylic and carbon fibers and the pharmaceutical
industries.
Bay Ltd. completed the fabrication and erection of the 4th Reactor Train utilizing major equipment that was dismantled and transported from the Sterling Chemicals plant in Texas City by INEOS. The Bay work scope included refurbishment of some of the used equipment with specialty items such as heat exchangers and compressors being sent out to vendors as well as fitness for service inspection of used large bore process pipe and structural steel. Also included were the civil works, structural steel erection, piping fabrication and erection, electrical and instrumentation and painting and scaffold services. The initial site preparation started in October 2007 following initial constructability support at the Design Engineers office and was completed in 2009 July and a total of 885,000 hours of direct labor were expended.
